Pure sitcom perfection.     “The One with the Football”     The Geller Bowl becomes the primal scream of sibling rivalry, served with petty competitiveness and a trophy no one should care about this much — and yet they do.     “The One Where Ross Got High”     The ultimate truth-telling meltdown. New Girl — Thanksgiving (Season 1)                                                  "Be honest. Is the turkey named Paul?” - Schmidt (Season 1)     Few sitcoms understand found family quite like New Girl. It seems Thanksgiving Day is upon us.” - Charlie Brown     A timeless holiday ritual.     Charlie Brown and the gang teach an essential Thanksgiving truth: dinner isn’t always perfect. Sometimes it’s toast, popcorn, and jellybeans served on a ping-pong table. But what matters is the gathering itself — and that Linus will always deliver a speech that makes the adults cry.     Wholesome, gentle, iconic.     5. Modern Family — Three Turkeys                                                  “You had a second turkey?!” - Phil (Season 6)     In this Season 6 comedic hurricane, everyone lies, everyone panics, and multiple turkeys get disastrously roasted — because Phil and Luke are secretly cooking the “backup turkey,” Jay and Gloria pretend they’re out of town, and Claire spirals into organisational madness.     It’s Thanksgiving as Modern Family always portrayed life: messy overlapping storylines that still land in a warm, emotional center.     6. The Office — WUPHF.com                                                  “Hay Place romances never last.” - Dwight (Season 7)     While The Office doesn’t have a traditional sit-down Thanksgiving episode, “WUPHF.com”, which aired as the show’s Thanksgiving week instalment, became the de facto holiday entry.     Thematically, it is Thanksgiving: office “family” chaos, the impulse to rescue someone from their own terrible decisions, and a final emotional meal of sorts as the employees reckon with loyalty, truth, and growing up. Plus, Dwight runs a hay festival. If that’s not holiday energy, what is?     7. Gossip Girl — The Treasure of Serena Madre                                                  “And what am I most thankful for? The truth. Sometimes it’s the truth you’ve been trying not to face. Or the truth that will change your life. Sometimes it’s the truth that’s a long time coming......But the kind of truth I’m most thankful for? The one you never see coming. That falls right into your lap. XOXO..” - Gossip Girl (Season 3)     The Upper East Side turns Thanksgiving into a battleground.     Set to Jason Derulo’s “Whatcha Say,” secrets explode across the dinner table in one of the most iconic montage reveals in teen-drama history. Infidelity, betrayal, manipulation — all delivered with the operatic flair only Gossip Girl could muster. No one leaves the table unscarred.     Thanksgiving, but make it couture and catastrophic.     8. Gilmore Girls — A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving                                                  “Rory what are we if not the world's champion eaters?”- Lorelai (Season 3)     Lorelai and Rory accept four Thanksgiving invitations in one day: The Kims, Sookie and Jackson, Luke, and finally Emily and Richard.     Deep-fried turkeys, angry vegetables, Korean karaoke, emotional awkwardness — this episode is the ultimate tribute to the chaos of trying to please everyone on a holiday designed to stretch families thin. And yet, the Gilmore warmth always shines.     9. The O.C. — The Homecoming (Thanksgiving Episode)                                                  “Yeah. Please. Hey, nothing says Thanksgiving like Moo Shu Pork.” - Seth (Season 1)     Before it became famous for its Chrismukkah chaos, The O.C. delivered a surprisingly grounded Thanksgiving entry.     Ryan returns to Chino to visit his family, Seth juggles holiday awkwardness with Anna and Summer, and the show balances coming-of-age tenderness with classic Cohen humor. It’s heartfelt, nostalgic, and a reminder that holidays often reconnect you with who you used to be — for better or worse.     10. How I Met Your Mother — Slapsgiving                                                  “So, as slap bet commissioner, I'm issuing a ruling. Thanksgiving is a day of peace, there will be no slaps today!” - Lily (Season 3)     The crown jewel of HIMYM holiday episodes.     Marshall’s “slap bet” with Barney culminates in a Thanksgiving countdown that mixes slapstick (literally) with big-hearted sentiment.
